Easter Title

Jesus had the cross in mind from the very beginning of his ministry. Nothing could deter him from that mission. Why? When others desired one thing, Jesus knew the ultimate thing. Why go to the cross? What did he have in mind?

Palm Sunday Title

The events of Palm Sunday reveal disciples that missed the point and a crowd that had an agenda for Jesus. The problem is the agenda of the disciples and the crowd didn’t match Jesus agenda for himself. Do we make the same mistake today?

Not Ashamed

On St. Patrick’s day, we finish our look at Paul’s thesis statement in Romans. As Christians, we know faith is essential, but do we really know what real biblical faith is? What does it mean? What does it look like?

Not AshamedVerses 16 and 17 are the thesis for Paul’s letter to the Romans. Verse 16 tells us that the gospel has power. Verse 17 tells us where that power comes from, and it has enormous implications for our lives.

Not AshamedGod is the definition of immense power, but he has chosen to place that power in the gospel. What does that look like? What does that mean for us? What does that mean for those that don’t believe the gospel?

Not AshamedThe Apostle Paul lays out his commitment to the church in Rome and to the gospel. Paul tells us that he is obligated, eager, and not ashamed.  These three statements reveal much about Paul’s, and our calling as Christians

Paul saw himself as a recipient of a profound and powerful grace. That grace transformed his life and his relationship to all others. How does the gospel change our relationships? Our friendships? Our marriages?

News of the church in Rome had already begun to spread and their faith was known throughout the world. What about your life? What will you be known for? What about Providence…what will others know us as?

We kick off our series on the book of Romans with a look at the man writing the book (Paul) and the subject of the book that has taken hold of him- The Gospel.
