At Providence Church, we love kids, and we love for children to know how much they are loved by God! Every week, your children will learn new stories and truths from the Bible that point to Jesus Christ and what he has accomplished on the cross. ProvidenceKids ranges from newborn to 5th Grade.
Here are a few things we do in addition to Biblical teaching at ProvidenceKids:
- Children’s Worship Time – Your kids will get to experience music that will help them learn Bible verses, key truths in the Bible, and more about Jesus Christ. We utilize music almost every week in ProvidenceKids.
- Missions – Every year we try to do mission projects with the children in order to teach them the importance of serving as Christ served. Whether it is going to the nursing home, collecting shoeboxes stuffed with gifts at Christmas, or stuffing backpacks with supplies, we strive to provide a missions mindset in children’s ministry.
- Crafts/Drama – Preschool through second graders often work on crafts that coordinate with the Bible Story and some teachers have children act out what they have learned. These teaching strategies are used to help the Bible story come alive and be memorable for the children.
Although we provide a fun and exciting environment for our children, our goal is to supplement their Bible teaching at home. We encourage parents to nightly read the Bible with their children. We hope to support parents in the best way possible, and we are thankful for the precious lives God puts in our care.
